Nazari Power is the power transmission and electrical infrastructure division of Nazari Rahimi Mining Extraction & Processing Co. (NRMEP), operating under a structured, stage-gated EPC execution methodology to ensure technical accuracy, cost control, timely delivery, and full compliance with utility and industrial standards (including DABS requirements where applicable), while being actively engaged in the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and implementation of end-to-end energy and power infrastructure projects.
Nazari Power successfully delivered the installation and commissioning of a 40 MVA, 110/20 kV transformer at the Chamtala Substation, including 20 kV switchgear, protection and control relays, and associated auxiliary systems. The scope covered full engineering, supply, installation, testing, and grid integration, ensuring seamless and reliable operation. The project was developed to enhance network stability, increase capacity, and enable higher energy intake, while supporting future load growth. It incorporates modern protection systems, a reliable medium-voltage distribution interface, and is designed in accordance with international standards.
This project is being executed under a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the development of high-voltage substation infrastructure. The scope covers the complete design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a fully operational 500 kV Line-Bay and Reactor-Bay at Dasht-e-Alwan 500/220kV Substation, ensuring enhanced grid reliability and transmission capacity. The project is currently ongoing, with engineering, procurement, and construction activities actively underway in accordance with international standards to ensure safe, reliable, and long-term operation of the power transmission system.
DRI Production Project – Syah Dara, Bamyan
Nazari Rahimi Company is undertaking a Sponge Iron (DRI) project at Syah Dara, Bamyan, consisting of two (2) coal-based rotary kiln production lines, each with a capacity of 350 TPD. The project is designed to produce a total of 700 TPD of sponge iron, forming a key part of the Company’s industrial expansion strategy in the steel sector.
The DRI plant is integrated with a captive power generation system
designed to utilize process energy efficiently. This includes two (2) Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRB) with a capacity of 9 MW each, recovering energy from kiln waste heat and off-gases, and one (1) 5 MW AFBC power plant utilizing kiln-generated char. The total installed power generation capacity is approximately 23 MW, ensuring reliable and self-sustained power supply for continuous plant operations.
